Melis Yasa Aytaman was born in Istanbul in 1978. She graduated from Notre Dame de Sion High School in Istanbul, continued her undergraduate studies at the University of Reading in the UK on Chemistry and Food Science. She received her Master’s Degree at ISIPCA in Versailles, France on Food Flavours, graduating in 2002 as one of 16 flavourists. Melis Yasa Aytaman took the first step in her professonal career at Nestlé in Zurich, Switzerland. She then transferred to Nestlé Germany, working a total of four years for Nestlé. She then took a culinary training at the French Culinary Institute in New York for 6 months. After gaining experience for nine years in different parts of the world, she decided to return to Turkey. She has been working at Aromsa since 2005 as the representative of the 2nd generation in the company. Melis Yasa Aytaman, also a Board Member, believes her first and foremost responsibility is forwarding the values, vision and culture of Aromsa onto the next generations. In light of this awareness, she aims to successfully manage the institutional development, sustainability and innovation process while building the future. Melis Yasa Aytaman is married, with one child.
